Things don't always go as planned. The 4:00 service was to be held in the sacristy but missed or forgotten messages left us with a dilemma. Jesus is Lord was having their service at the same time. After a few moments of panic and hastily placed calls we arrived early and assembled everything we needed in the church hall.

Thanks to help from young people in JII, we got all of the chairs set up, used a folding table for the altar and brought all the banners, candles, etc. There were 60+ in attendance.

It was a lovely service, with full-throated hymns and Joyce on the upright piano. For us, it was a lesson in community and the spirit at work.
