Our Aid to Lebanon

We had an amazing response to our request for support for Lebanon through the Canadian World Relief matching grant program.  Church council said they would match your donations up to $1000.  You folks donated an amazing $1,745.  Church council added $1,000.  So in total, we sent $2,745 to Canadian Lutheran World Relief.  This will be matched by the Federal Government making a total from our small church community of $5,490!  I don't know how the money will be used.  I do know that the government of Lebanon, which is in disarray will NOT be distributing the money, but rather a group of well known and well-respected aid agencies (including CLWR) will work to ensure that people's needs are met as much as possible.   So thank you to all who stepped up.  You are Jesus's feet in the world.
